1. Introduction
Event Scheduler ("the App") is developed by Jhon Geric Pescador ("Developer", "we", "us"). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use our Shopify application.
2. Information We Collect
When you install the App, we receive and store:
- Shop information — your Shopify store domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)
- API access token — provided by Shopify to perform authorized actions on your behalf
- Campaign data — the plans, scheduled events, and actions you create within the App
- Execution logs — records of when scheduled actions run, including success/failure status
- Snapshots — before/after states of resources modified by scheduled actions (for rollback purposes)
We do NOT collect:
- Customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, payment info)
- Order or transaction data
- Browsing or analytics data
- Any data from your customers or store visitors
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Execute your scheduled actions at the configured date and time (e.g. updating product prices, toggling discounts, publishing themes)
- Display your campaigns, execution history, and snapshots within the App
- Provide rollback/restore functionality via snapshots
- Authenticate your Shopify store session
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
4. Data Retention
- Execution logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Restored snapshots are automatically deleted after 30 days. Unrestored snapshots are kept until you use or delete them.
- Campaign data is retained as long as your App is installed.
- All data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling the App, in compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements (via the
shop/redact webhook).
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (cloud infrastructure). API access tokens are stored securely and are only used for authorized Shopify API calls. All communication between the App and Shopify uses HTTPS encryption.
6. GDPR Compliance
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's mandatory privacy requirements:
- Customer Data Request — We do not store customer personal data. If Shopify forwards a data request, we confirm no customer data is held.
- Customer Data Erasure — We do not store customer personal data, so no erasure is needed.
- Shop Data Erasure — When you uninstall the App, all shop data (campaigns, actions, logs, snapshots) is permanently deleted within 48 hours.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we store about your shop (visible within the App)
- Delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Shopify — for authentication, billing, and store API access
- Railway — for application and database hosting
- Tawk.to — for optional live chat support (governed by their own privacy policy)
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
